A provincial nomination certificate is required as well as a Labour Market Impact Assessment from the Government of Canada.

The Saskatchewan Experience Category is for foreign workers who are already living in Saskatchewan, including holders of a current work permit and international graduates. It is touted to be the quickest path to permanent residency for qualified immigrants holding a skilled trade credential.

The Entrepreneur and Farm Category is for individuals who wish to own and actively operate a business or a farming operation in Saskatchewan. The stream is intended to help immigrants with entrepreneurial experience, or the farming industry in their home country, to immigrate to Saskatchewan and pursue careers in those fields.
