Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
The IRCC uses the Express Entry System to manage skilled worker applications for three programs including the Canadian Experience Class. If you have resided in Canada before and gained eligible work experience here, you could be a strong candidate for the CEC. The CEC is the best option for those who have worked in Canada and want to transition into a Permanent Resident.
To become eligible to apply under the Canadian Experience Class one must fulfill the following requirements
- Have obtained at least one year of skilled (equivalent to 1560 hours in part-time or full-time work), professional or technical work experience in Canada within 36 months of the application date
- Meet a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5 for NOC B jobs or CLB 7 for NOC skill level 0 or A jobs.
